This stunning pedestal bowl is part of the historic Heritage product line produced by the L.E. Smith Glass Company in the United States during the 1970s. It features the classic geometric Cobb pattern, which traces its lineage back to late 19th-century Early American Pattern Glass (EAPG) molds. The base is explicitly marked with the raised mold name COBB on the bottom.
Designed as a beautiful standalone decorative centerpiece bowl, it sits elegantly on a built-in pedestal base. The deep ruby red pressed glass showcases a highly polished, glossy fire-finish on the interior and a deeply textured, three-dimensional geometric diamond and scroll pattern on the exterior that catches the light beautifully. Its versatile shape also allows it to function upside down as a heavy replacement base stand for a large matching 7-quart punch bowl set.
